Memes reflect the generation of Millennials (later Generation Z), who invented a new type of graphic and video art with the popularisation of the internet. In the beginning, memes have just been photographs with text, but today, memes take a more common form.
For younger generations, meme is a way of expression through culture, fun, while sometimes, memes can provide information. Memes became part of counterculture.
