The performing arts week offers open-air concerts, performances, theatre plays and dance in contemporary forms, drawing attention to cultural stations as new spaces in Novi Sad where people gather. The biggest event in this week is Korzo, the great concert of classical music under the clear skies at a former Novi Sad pedestrian walkway and today’s Mihajlo Pupin Boulevard, stops traffic for one evening for the sake of culture. In addition to world-famous names, a special stage and a repertoire including the most famous works of classical music, Korzo, reviving the past times, has become a new tradition of Novi Sad and one of the legacies that will live on even after the title year of the European Capital of Culture, which makes the Serbian Athens a rarity that stands out from the entire region, and wider.

In 2022, one of the greatest violinists in the world, Julian Rachlin, ‘walked’ down the Korzo. He performed with the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra under the baton of maestro Aleksandar Marković. During the performing arts week, we saw the play ‘Miss Julie’ performed by the Viennese ‘Burgtheater’, the Festival of Chamber Music and many other events.

So far, violin virtuoso Stefan Milenković, LP Duo, officially one of the eight best piano duos in the world, pianist Rita Kinka, violinist Robert Lakatoš and many others have performed at Korzo.

Partners of the Kaleidoscope of Culture 2022 are Erste Bank, IDEA, DDOR, A1 Srbija and Heineken Srbija.
