Literature Night for the First Time in Serbia Within the Kaleidoscope of Culture

The literature night will open the third week of the Kaleidoscope of Culture, i.e. the week of literature, on Saturday, 19 September at 6 p.m.  

The manifestation, which has been organised in big European cities for years, in cooperation with EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture)French Institute in Serbiaand The Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia will be held in Serbia for the first time this year as part of the Kaleidoscope of Culture, as well as the online event that the audience will be able to follow on Kaleidoscope of Culture official website and Novi Sad 2021 Youtube Channel. 

Despite the pandemic, the literature night will manage to connect the local with the European literary scene. From 6 p.m. until 11 p.m., nine representatives of the local literary scene will present nine European writers from nine different countries – France, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Netherlands and Belgium. 

In addition to the discussion, Kristina Savkov and Danilo Milovanović, actors of the Youth Theatre, will read excerpts from selected works.

The literature night is implemented thanks to the cooperation of the Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture and Novi Sad branch of the French Institute with the support of the EUNIC Serbia and the EU info point.
