Fabuloze – Literary Discussions with Boris Fabula

Three panel discussions between Novi Sad authors entitled ‘Fabuloze’ and moderated by Nikola Škorić in the role of Boris Fabula, will be held within the literature week.

He is Boris Fabula. A determined chronicler of modern literature practice. His soft critical pen relentlessly tickles us where we are ticklish the most. He perfectly interprets the texts that are a bit vague to the authors themselves, while his enchanting words about literature are being listened in deafening silence with the close attention of the whole auditorium. Some people call him Skerlić of the 21st century, but he likes to say that he is Mihiz of a digital age.

Boris Fabula himself comes to Novi Sad to talk to some of the most important representatives of the local literary scene, young writers from whom we can expect a lot more interesting stories, inspiring poems and exciting dramas and novels.

The first panel discussion entitled ‘Zašto pišem? – Ili o identitetu pisca danas’ will be held in Podgrađe, during the mini-literature festival Podgrađe Booktown. Marijana Čanak, Andrea Popov Miletić, Bojan Krivokapić and Filip Grujić will have a discussion with Boris Fabula in the creative centre of Prostor, on 19 September at 7:30 p.m.

The following day, Fabula will discuss women in the world of literature with Sonja Veselinović, Jelena Anđelovska, Maja Solar and Jelena Mitrović, in the Bukovac Cultural Station, on 20 September at 7:30 p.m. The panel discussion is entitled ‘Ama kakvo žensko pismo, ženska glava! – ili evolucija žena od boljih čitalaca do boljih pisaca’.

The last, third panel discussion entitled ‘Pišem, dakle postojim. (I u knjizi) – Ili o odnosima stvarnog i izmišljenog u savremenoj književnosti’ will be held in the bookstore Bulevar Books, on 21 September at 7:30 p.m. Participants: Staša Vukadinović, Dubravka Rebić, Đorđe Majstorović and Bojan Todorović.

The fourth Kaleidoscope of Culture will be held from 2 September until 8 October 2021. During five weeks, this yearlong project of culture of togetherness that connects artists, cultural institutions, non-governmental organisations, citizens and visitors through various processes, will present five types of art. At the end of summer, the Kaleidoscope of Culture will present spaces and programmes throughout the city, promoting a unique image of the diversity of Novi Sad.
