Exhibition ‘Design for Culture’

The opening of the ‘Design for Culture’ exhibition will also mark the opening of the applied arts week, within the last week of the Kaleidoscope of Culture, in SPENS, on 1 October at 20:22.

The exhibition, which has been implemented in cooperation with the European project ReCulture and PDP conference, will present the best European and regional practices in the field of culture.

The exhibition includes over 200 items, including posters, publications and other graphic material produced for regional and European cultural institutions, non-governmental organisations, festivals, artists and relevant cultural projects. You will have a chance to see the works until 8 October.

Within the ‘Design for Culture’ exhibition, some of the most significant representatives of regional, European and world design scenes such as Pentagram, the biggest independent design studio in the world, Bureau Mirko Borsche, a graphic design studio in Germany, French Graphéine, Portuguese And Atelier, British Cartidge Levene, Spanish Todojunto, Austrian Studio ES, as well as representatives of local design scene such as Slavimir Stojanović Futro, Marina Milanović, Dragana Krtinić, design studio Metaklinika and Petergregson, and many others will present their work.

Among the projects selected to be part of the exhibition are projects implemented for the French Ministry of Culture, British Tate Modern, Bavarian State Opera, Design Museum in London, British Institute for Contemporary Art, Vienna Design Week, Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska, Historical Museum in Sarajevo, Yugoslav Drama Theatre, National Museum of Montenegro and many other organisations that work in the field of culture.


The fourth ‘Kaleidoscope of Culture’ will be held from 2 September until 8 October 2021. During five weeks, this yearlong project of culture of togetherness that connects artists, cultural institutions, non-governmental organisations, citizens and visitors through various processes, will present five types of art. At the end of summer, the Kaleidoscope of Culture will present spaces and programmes throughout the city, promoting a unique image of the diversity of Novi Sad.
