CGA conference (Computer Graphics & Arts Conference) has been gathering professionals in the field of computer graphics for years. Participating in the Kaleidoscope of Culture is the first relocation of the conference outside Belgrade, and this will be a unique opportunity to focus on the strong CGA community in Novi Sad.
In the four opening days, from 2 to 5 September, digital artists, video game creators, animators, professionals from the film VR/AR industry, as well as representatives of the academic community will present themselves to visitors of the Kaleidoscope of Culture under the Enter The MetaClub slogan in Fabrika (entrance 2) in the Creative District.
The complete CGA programme is divided into four thematic units: CGAcademy, CGArts, CGAlliance and CGAfterHours, therefore the accompanying programme will be dedicated to the popular software for developing interactive digital content Unreal Engine.
The aim of the cooperation between the founders of the CGA conference, Crater Training Centre, Serbian Film Association and VFX Serbia portal and ‘Novi Sad – European Capital of Culture’ Foundation is to create continuous cooperation and a tightly connected community of artists, technology, audio-visual industry in all its forms and narratives, as well as active communication with the general public through artistic expressions, under the banner of the CGA and the Kaleidoscope of Culture.
The fourth Kaleidoscope of Culture will be held from 2 September until 8 October 2021. During five weeks, this yearlong project of culture of togetherness that connects artists, cultural institutions, non-governmental organisations, citizens and visitors through various processes, will present five types of art. At the end of summer, the Kaleidoscope of Culture will present spaces and programmes throughout the city, promoting a unique image of the diversity of Novi Sad.
