Yesterday’s World – Concert Representation of a Poet-Music Edition

The ‘Yesterday’s World – Concert Representation of a Poet-Music Edition’ project by singer-songwriters Nemanja Nešić and Miloš Zubac, is a concert representation of the CD edition of a triple joint album, i.e., the edition entitled ‘Jučerašnji svet.’ It is an innovative interpretation of literary material by the great South Slavic poets of the 19th and 20th centuries

Miloš Zubac and Nemanja Nešić will hold the concert in the Svilara Cultural Station, on 15 September at 7 p.m.

Within the concert, authors of the project would like to introduce the audience to authentic songwriting, which is predominantly based on the poetry. In a way, they show how contemporary singer-songwriters can influence the cultural awareness of a community dually – with the original interpretation of the art lyrics that has already been considered a literature classic, and with the original singer-songwriter approach within which a performer is the author of both poetry and music.

The fourth ‘Kaleidoscope of Culture’ will be held from 2 September until 8 October 2021. During five weeks, this yearlong project of culture of togetherness that connects artists, cultural institutions, non-governmental organisations, citizens and visitors through various processes, will present five types of art. At the end of summer, the Kaleidoscope of Culture will present spaces and programmes throughout the city, promoting a unique image of the diversity of Novi Sad.
