New Voices

The ‘New Voices’ literature night by Filip Grujić and Borisav Matić will be held within ‘Podgrađe Booktown’, a two-day literature festival, in the Suburbium of the Petrovaradin Fortress on 19 September at 7 p.m.

Filip Grujić was born in 1995 and he has written two novels so far: ‘Tenant’ (2020), which has been shortlisted for the NIN award and EU Prize for Literature, and ‘Days of Johnny Long Johnson’ (2017), according to which the play directed by Jovana Tomić was produced in the Újvidéki Szinház theatre.

Grujić is the author of several dramas, while he received the Sterija’s award and ‘Slobodan Selenić’ award for the ‘Not Before 4:30, nor After 5:00’ drama. He is also won the Borislav Mihajlovic Mihiz award for dramatic work in 2020.


The fourth Kaleidoscope of Culture’ will be held from 2 September until 8 October 2021. During five weeks, this yearlong project of culture of togetherness that connects artists, cultural institutions, non-governmental organisations, citizens and visitors through various processes, will present five types of art. At the end of summer, the Kaleidoscope of Culture will present spaces and programmes throughout the city, promoting a unique image of the diversity of Novi Sad.
