‘Klatno’ – a Project by Goran Erić and Ivan Burka

Promotion of the ‘Klatno’ composition within the self-penned project by the Saht-maht ensemble, will be held within the performing arts week of the Kaleidoscope of Culture, in the Svilara Cultural Station, on 16 September, at 8 p.m.

The ‘Klatno’ composition combines and brings contemporary methods of musical creation based on electronic components closer to the audience.

The Saht-maht ensemble was formed in Novi Sad as a result of yearlong artistic cooperation between bugler Goran Erić and percussionist Ivan Burka. The music duo performed the traditional repertoire of chamber music, while it has become an interdisciplinary artistic group lately. Shaped by Stockhausen’s ideas about intuitive and electronic music and inspired by the creativity of artists such as Arve Henriksen and Fritz Hauser, this duo explores the architecture of sound, makes electro-acoustic music and completes its artistic entity by constructing their own instruments.

The fourth Kaleidoscope of Culture will be held from 2 September until 8 October 2021. During five weeks, this yearlong project of culture of togetherness that connects artists, cultural institutions, non-governmental organisations, citizens and visitors through various processes, will present five types of art. At the end of summer, the Kaleidoscope of Culture will present spaces and programmes throughout the city, promoting a unique image of the diversity of Novi Sad.
