From Comic Book to New Technologies: Exhibitions at the Opening of the Kaleidoscope of Culture

The opening of the Kaleidoscope of Culture brings interesting and diverse exhibition, from new media art to comic book.

During the four days of opening, you will have a chance to visit the ‘The Great Liman: From industrial production to contemporary creative expression’ exhibition that will take place at several locations in Creative District. The exhibition will be opened on 2 September at 8:45 p.m.

The ‘Ars Electronica – Differences: Garden’ exhibition will be opened in Skladište (location no. 8) at 9 p.m., while you will have a chance to see the ‘Enter the MetaClub’ exhibition in Fabrika (the former Route 66, entrance no. 2). The exhibition has been organised by the CGA conference, within which digital artists, video game designers, animators, and professionals working in the field of film VR/AR industries, as well as representatives of the academic community will present themselves.

‘A Comic Strip Tour of Belgium’, the exhibition dedicated to fans of the ninth art, will be available to visitors in the Liman Cultural Station, while the opening of the ‘Matter Through Time. Sand, Wood, Stone, Metal in the Age of Digitization’ exhibition is reserved for Saturday, 4 September at 7 p.m.

This year, the atelier by artists Tadija Janjičić, Petar Mirković and Boris Lukić will host the three colleagues – Aleksandar Dimitrijević, Aleksandar Denić and Milan Nešić, who will present their artwork on 2 September at 9 p.m.

Young audience will have an opportunity to enjoy the ‘Meme Avenue’ that will introduce memes to the audience as a special way of expressing yourself, through panel discussion, an exhibition and a quiz, on 3 September at 7 p.m.

Four days of the gala opening in Creative District, at the site of Great Liman, will be an overture to the five weeks of the Kaleidoscope of Culture, form 2 September until 8 October. Within five arts – architecture, literature, visual, applied and performing arts, programme will be held across Novi Sad.

The entrance to all progammes of the opening of the Kaleidoscope of Culture is free of charge, and without COVID-19 protocol, while organisers kindly ask all visitors to adhere to all measures in order to maintain health and enjoy cultural events. Visitors are obliged to wear masks during all events.
