Encouraged by the fact that the programmes which dominate the Novi Sad cultural-artistic scene are those promoting the artistic performance rather than creation, Vojvodina Guitarists’ Association launched the initiative to offer citizens a different project – Youth Singer-Songwriter Festival.
‘Youth Singer-Songwriter Festival’ promotes the young and emerging singer-songwriters between 16 and 26 years of age, mainly from Novi Sad, and contemporary artistic creation of the young ones.
‘We believe that this project will result in creating some new name on the Novi Sad singer-songwriter scene, as well as encourage other talented young people to express themselves creatively to the public,’ state the authors.
Finalists of the Youth Singer-Songwriter Festival will present themselves in the Egység Cultural Station on 13 September at 8 p.m.
