The Kaleidoscope of Culture<\/strong>, the winner of the European Trend Brand in the Field of Culture Award, will experience its fifth and, so far, most significant edition, from 1 September to 7 October in Novi Sad.<\/p>\n

Already at the opening<\/a> \u2013 the largest artistic gathering in this part of Europe, around 400 artists from almost 40 countries of the world will be presented through five types of art, from 1 to 4 September.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Opening the door to the industrial heritage of the District, one of the largest interactive installations in Europe \u2018Autokorekt\u2019<\/a>, the work of the architectural art collective \u2018Karkatag\u2019<\/strong>, winner of the prestigious prize of The Oxford Samuel Beckett Theatre Trust, will be installed on the Fabrika building.<\/p>\n

\u2018It is an installation made up of a robotic and automated system of machines and devices, which with their media content and movement create a choreography \u2013 a specific dance on the fa\u00e7ade, transforming the Fabrika building into a stage, and passers-by and users of the building into part of that ecosystem,\u2019 said a member of the art collective \u2018Karkatag\u2019, Marko Dimitrijevi\u0107<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Applied art will be presented by the Biennale of Stage Design<\/a><\/strong>, led by the world-renowned collective \u2018Numen\/For Use\u2019. After installations throughout Europe, Asia, Australia and South America, the collective will premiere its \u2018Tape\u2019<\/strong> installation in Novi Sad.<\/p>\n

\u2018The audience will get to know the ‘Common’ project, which deals with modernist heritage in Rijeka, Skopje and Novi Sad. Some of the leading authors from the area of the former Yugoslavia, who work in the fields of stage design, will present their practices, including designer and scenographer Sven Jonke, architect Miodrag Ku\u010d, and others,\u2019 said the artistic director of the Biennale of Stage Design, Mia David<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Visual Arts Week will include as many as 22 exhibitions and 12 film screenings, such as the new films \u2018Comedy on Three Floors\u2019, starring the famous Serbian actresses Vesna Trivali\u0107 and Seka Sablji\u0107, and \u2018What a Wonderful World\u2019 with An\u0111elka Prpi\u0107 in the lead role. While the exhibition of the works of the world’s best young photographers from as many as 36 countries will be next to Gvo\u017e\u0111ara, more than 25 of Serbia’s most important new media artists, led by big names such as Vladimir Lali\u0107<\/strong>, Dorijan Kolund\u017eija<\/strong> and Goran Despotovski<\/strong>, will present their works in the renovated premises of Biro and Skladi\u0161te. In addition to guest painters from France and Austria, the doors of representative renovated studios will be opened by three renowned European artists from Novi Sad \u2013 Petar Mirkovi\u0107, Tadija Jani\u010di\u0107 and Boris Luki\u0107.<\/p>\n
