The third week of the Kaleidoscope of Culture<\/strong> turns the Suburbium of the Petrovaradin Fortress into the literature centre<\/strong>, where numerous local and European authors from eight countries<\/strong> will meet, while afterwards, the events will take place across the city within the literature week from 18 until 23 September<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rambo Amadeus, Svetislav Basara, Kralj \u010ca\u010dka, Marta Dzido, Mascha Dabi\u0107, and Filip Gruji\u0107<\/strong> are some of the names that will mark the upcoming mini-festival Podgra\u0111e Booktown<\/a> on 18 and 19 September.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Svetislav Basara<\/a>, a two-time NIN award winner and writer whose work has been translated into many languages,<\/strong> will introduce himself to Novi Sad within the programme \u2018Laureate Circle<\/strong>\u2019 on the first evening, in Beogradska Street, where singer-songwriter Kralj \u010ca\u010dk<\/a>a<\/strong> aka \u2018Serbian Tom Waits\u2019 will also perform.<\/p>\n

During the first evening of the mini-literature festival, the \u2018Literature Night<\/strong><\/a>\u2019 will be held at different locations in Suburbium, and which has been implemented in Serbia within the last year\u2019s Kaleidoscope of Culture, as the manifestation that is being organised in big European cities under the patronage of EUNIC cluster (cluster of cultural centres of EU countries) for years.<\/p>\n

The second \u2018Literature Night\u2019 in Serbia will present authors from eight European countries: Ale\u0161 \u010car (Slovenia), Tom Schulz (Germany), Marta Dzido (Poland), Franck Bouysse (France), Jacques Richard (Belgium), Judit Szaniszl\u00f3 (Hungary), Nadia Terranova (Italy) and Mascha Dabi\u0107 (Austria).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Antonije Pu\u0161i\u0107, better known as Rambo Amadeus<\/strong>, one of the most unique musicians of the region, brings his \u2018Grand Poetry Night<\/strong><\/a>\u2019 to the mini festival in Suburbium. It is another project among his numerous unusual projects that will take place in Beogradska Street, on 19 September, when young authors are given their time to shine, including Filip Gruji\u0107, a winner of Sterija and Mihiz awards<\/strong> within the programme \u2018New Voices<\/strong><\/a>\u2019 in \u2018Prostor\u2019. Podgra\u0111e Booktown<\/em> will be closed with the play \u2018Udarna vest<\/a>\u2019 (en. Breaking News), a self-penned project by Minja Bogavac and Marko Grubi\u0107<\/strong>, in Beogradska Street as well. The play deals with the phenomenon of mass communication in modern society.<\/p>\n
