The experience of the \u2018Novi Sad \u2013 European Capital of Culture\u2019 Foundation, acquired through strengthening the Novi Sad artistic scene, is that it has the massive support of online visitors, which is uplifting in terms of ways in which culture can develop. In addition to this, new audience is being formed.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018A unique achievement in Serbia and region would be the best description of this year\u2019s Kaleidoscope of Culture. With its culture of togetherness and involvement of citizens of Novi Sad, it not only goes far beyond the conventional approach to culture, but it transcends the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, with both live and online organisation. The grand opening is all the more important since it is happening in the space where the culture of dialogue showed that we, as a society, despite different opinions and often, mistrust, have the will to communicate and create together,\u2019 said Mr <strong>Nemanja Milenkovi\u0107<\/strong>, CEO of the \u2018Novi Sad \u2013 European Capital of Culture\u2019 Foundation, adding that the Kaleidoscope of Culture is a unique project example that emerges and develops through guidelines and by involving all stakeholders \u2013 artists, cultural institutions, non-governmental organisations, citizens and visitors, which further develops a complex programme concept.<\/p>\n<p>The culture of togetherness will begin with this year\u2019s grand opening through a unique artistic-programme approach, with participation of the Serbian National Theatre, \u2018Infant\u2019 International Festival of Alternative and New Theatre, BITEF Theatre, \u0160abac Theatre, Mimart Theatre, Karkatag artistic-production collective and Obnova Film Festival.<\/p>\n<p>The opening will feature the \u2018About Great Liman\u2019 exhibition, the presentation of freelance artists from the former \u2018Chinese Quarter\u2019, and exhibition of students from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, Department of Scene Architecture, Technique and Design.<\/p>\n<p>After the grand opening that will take place in front of \u2018Fabrika\u2019, the audience will have a chance to see theatre plays in front of metal and iron factories, performance in front of the OPENS Cultural Station, where children films will be shown, visual and sound installations next to the iron factory, \u2018Fabrika\u2019 and steel factory, in front of the Warehouse and \u2018Mostogradnja\u2019 warehouse. This is the first time that this opera, 170 years since its first premi\u00e8re in Venice, will be performed in the open, with a special video projection on a 50-meter long fa\u00e7ade.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018It is the right moment to reach for each other \u2013 to make opera artists leave their opera house for the first time and achieve an amazing synergy with other ways of thinking and a different space.
