Kaleidoscope of Culture<\/strong>\u00a0in Novi Sad is entering its second week, a\u00a0week dedicated to literature,<\/strong>\u00a0during which the\u00a0District<\/strong>\u00a0will be transformed into a large open-air museum dedicated to\u00a0Aleksandar Ti\u0161ma. The Ti\u0161ma Pavilion,<\/strong>\u00a0a unique new media event, will take place on\u00a013 and 14 September.<\/strong>\u00a0At the Ti\u0161ma Pavilion, visitors will have the opportunity to see exhibitions, attend performances, engage in discussions with award-winning authors, participate in book exchanges, and enjoy many other interesting programmes.<\/p>\n

Throughout the Literature Week, starting at\u00a07 p.m.<\/strong>\u00a0on both days, an\u00a0interactive exhibition titled \u2019The Use of Man\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0will be open at the Proizvodnja facility.<\/strong> The exhibition will symbolically depict the universal experience of war through three sections, taking us from the pre-war, relatively peaceful period, through the atmosphere of camps and destruction, to the post-war era, reflecting the transformation of both collective and individual experiences.<\/p>\n

In addition to the exhibition \u2019The Use of Man,\u201d another exhibition at the Ti\u0161ma Pavilion will focus on the impressive oeuvre of this author \u2013\u00a0the factual exhibition \u2019Remember Forever: Aleksandar Ti\u0161ma\u2019 at the Menza facility.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the\u00a0first evening<\/strong>\u00a0of the second week of Kaleidoscope of Culture,\u00a0Friday, 13 September<\/strong>, the\u00a0play \u2019The Use of Man\u2019 by Aleksandar Ti\u0161ma<\/strong>, dramatized by Fedora \u0160ilija and Boris Lije\u0161evi\u0107, will be performed. The play will feature several actors who will seamlessly transition from character to character, openly displaying the process of creating situations, making this vast epic story of war and humanity both scenically simple and narratively and meaningfully accessible.<\/p>\n

As part of the Ti\u0161ma Pavilion, on Saturday,\u00a014 September, at 9 p.m.,<\/strong>\u00a0a\u00a0dance performance titled \u2019Bark\u2019<\/strong>, inspired by Aleksandar Ti\u0161ma\u2019s novel \u2019Faith and Treason,\u2019 will be presented by the dancers of\u00a0\u2019Vuk Karad\u017ei\u0107\u2019 Cultural Association from Temerin.<\/strong>\u00a0Incorporating elements of both contemporary and traditional dance, this performance tells a story from the past of Novi Sad, discussing people whose lives and identities were changed by wartime events, and exploring the eternal dilemma of what causes evil to emerge from within a person.<\/p>\n

Major Regional Literary Figures in the Second Week of Kaleidoscope of Culture<\/strong><\/h2>\n

During the Literature Week of this year\u2019s Kaleidoscope of Culture,\u00a0guest authors will include Rumena Bu\u017earovska and Stevo Grabovac.<\/strong>\u00a0On\u00a0Friday, 13 September,<\/strong>\u00a0the renowned writer will discuss one of the greatest Serbian literary figures, Aleksandar Ti\u0161ma, while the winner of the NIN Award will speak on Saturday,\u00a014 September.<\/strong>\u00a0Both discussions will take place at the\u00a0Biro facility, starting at 8 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n
