The “Darkest Wave” programme will be held in the District on October 4th and 5th, as part of Visual Arts Week during the Kaleidoscope of Culture. <\/strong>This event offers a retrospective of the works of the most significant directors of this period, including Du\u0161an Makavejev, \u017delimir \u017dilnik, Aleksandar Petrovi\u0107, Karpo A\u010dimovi\u0107 Godina, \u017divojin Pavlovi\u0107, Lazar Stojanovi\u0107.<\/p>\n

The programme will feature an exhibition<\/strong> of the same name, including spatial video installations at Radionica, Menza, and Biro<\/strong>, which will highlight the key topics and aesthetics of the ‘Black Wave’ through innovative presentations. The exhibition will be open on October 5 from 8:30 p.m.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Work hours after the opening: <\/strong>Weekdays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on weekends from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibition combines artistic interpretation and archival documents, creating a context for understanding this controversial period of Yugoslav cinema from the 1970s. The aim is to provide the audience with a new perspective on this cultural phenomenon through the art of appropriation and post-production.<\/p>\n

Film screenings, where selected films will be shown in full, will be accompanied by panel discussions with experts. The films that will be presented include Early Works<\/em> (\u017delimir \u017dilnik, 1969), I Even Met Happy Gypsies<\/em> (Aleksandar Petrovi\u0107, 1967), About the Art of Love<\/em> (Karpo A\u010dimovi\u0107 Godina, 1972), Plastic Jesus<\/em> (Lazar Stojanovi\u0107, 1971), and When I Am Dead and Gone<\/em> (\u017divojin Pavlovi\u0107, 1967). Additionally, the accompanying programme will include the digitalization of WR: Mysteries of the Organism<\/em> (Du\u0161an Makavejev, 1971), as well as a screening of the documentary Forbidden Without a Ban<\/em> (Milan Nikodijevi\u0107 and Dinko Tucakovi\u0107, 2007).<\/p>\n
